Description
Recreate the famous Texas Roadhouse salmon at home with this easy recipe. Featuring flaky salmon fillets bathed in a rich garlic butter sauce, this restaurant-inspired seafood dish is perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ pounds salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh dill (optional)
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- 1. Pat salmon fillets completely dry and season with salt and pepper.
- 2. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear salmon presentation-side down for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- 3. Flip salmon and cook for another 2-3 minutes. If fillets are thick, transfer skillet to a preheated 375°F (190°C) oven for 5-8 minutes until cooked through.
- 4. Remove salmon from skillet (or drain excess oil if cooking entirely on stovetop). Reduce heat to medium-low.
- 5. Add butter to skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant (do not burn).
- 6. Stir in lemon juice, parsley, dill (if using), and red pepper flakes (if using). Season sauce to taste.
- 7. Spoon or baste the garlic butter sauce over the salmon fillets and serve immediately.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in a skillet over low heat with a splash of water or broth, or in a moderate oven.
