Description

Delicious and cheesy turkey tacos baked to perfection with a creamy avocado dipping sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 small can green chiles
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 4 flour tortillas
  • Homemade seasoning blend (e.g., chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper)
  • Avocado (for dipping sauce)
  • Sour cream (optional, for dipping sauce)
  • Lime (optional, for dipping sauce)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ground turkey over medium heat until browned.
  3. Stir in the black beans and green chiles, and cook until heated through.
  4. Place a tortilla in the baking dish, fill it with the turkey mixture, and top with shredded Monterey Jack cheese.
  5. Roll the tortilla tightly and repeat with the remaining ingredients.
  6. Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. For the dipping sauce, mash ripe avocados and mix in sour cream and lime juice to taste.

Notes

Roll tortillas tight to prevent filling spills. Use ripe avocados for a smooth sauce.
