Description
Hearty ground beef and tender bowtie pasta in a rich garlic butter cream sauce. A comforting one-pan meal ready in 30 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound bowtie pasta (farfalle)
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- 1. Cook bowtie pasta according to package directions. Drain and reserve 1 cup pasta water.
- 2. Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown ground beef 6-8 minutes, breaking apart with spoon.
- 3. Add onion and bell pepper to beef. Cook 4-5 minutes until softened. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- 4. Push beef mixture to one side. Add butter to empty space, then minced garlic to melted butter. Cook 30-60 seconds until fragrant.
- 5. Pour in beef broth, scraping up browned bits. Simmer 3-4 minutes to reduce slightly.
- 6. Reduce heat to medium-low and stir in heavy cream until smooth.
- 7. Add cooked pasta, tossing to coat. Add pasta water if needed for desired consistency.
- 8. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
- 9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers refrigerated up to 3-4 days. Reheat gently with splash of milk or broth to restore creaminess.
