Description

Hearty ground beef and tender bowtie pasta in a rich garlic butter cream sauce. A comforting one-pan meal ready in 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. 1. Cook bowtie pasta according to package directions. Drain and reserve 1 cup pasta water.
  2. 2. Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown ground beef 6-8 minutes, breaking apart with spoon.
  3. 3. Add onion and bell pepper to beef. Cook 4-5 minutes until softened. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. 4. Push beef mixture to one side. Add butter to empty space, then minced garlic to melted butter. Cook 30-60 seconds until fragrant.
  5. 5. Pour in beef broth, scraping up browned bits. Simmer 3-4 minutes to reduce slightly.
  6. 6. Reduce heat to medium-low and stir in heavy cream until smooth.
  7. 7. Add cooked pasta, tossing to coat. Add pasta water if needed for desired consistency.
  8. 8. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
  9. 9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers refrigerated up to 3-4 days. Reheat gently with splash of milk or broth to restore creaminess.
