- 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (from about 2–3 limes)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium is fine)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1–2 teaspoons sriracha or other hot sauce (adjust to your spice preference)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Optional garnishes: fresh cilantro, sliced green onions, lime wedges
Instructions
- 1. Prepare the chicken: Season chicken with salt and pepper.
- 2. Whisk together the sauce: Combine honey, lime juice, soy sauce, olive oil, sriracha, garlic, ginger, and smoked paprika.
- 3. Marinate chicken (optional): Place chicken in a bag or dish, pour half the sauce over, and marinate for 30 mins to 2 hours.
- 4. Cook the chicken: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until cooked through.
- 5. Make the glaze: In a small saucepan, simmer the remaining sauce for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- 6. Glaze and serve: Pour or toss chicken with the glaze. Let rest before serving. Garnish as desired.
Notes
Store leftover chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat gently in a skillet, oven, or microwave.
