- 1.5 pounds salmon fillets, skin on or off
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, half juiced, half cut into thin slices
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
- Optional: Red pepper flakes for a touch of heat
Instructions
- 1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- 3. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and chopped parsley. Add red pepper flakes if using.
- 4. Place salmon on the prepared baking sheet. Pour the lemon garlic butter sauce evenly over the fillets.
- 5. Arrange lemon slices over and around the salmon.
- 6. Bake for 12-18 minutes, or until salmon flakes easily and is opaque.
- 7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the oven or skillet to maintain moisture.
