Description

A simple and flavorful recipe for Easy Garlic Butter Beef Cheeseburger Rollups, perfect for a quick weeknight meal or appetizer. Uses lean ground beef, garlic, butter, and cheese for a delicious twist on cheeseburgers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 ounces shredded cheddar cheese (or a cheddar-blend)
  • Optional: 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Optional: Pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce for umami boost
  • Optional: Fresh parsley or chives for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until browned. If using onion, add it during the last few minutes of browning. Drain off excess grease.
  2. 2. Stir in minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. If using onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, or red pepper flakes, incorporate them now. Cook for 1 minute until garlic is fragrant.
  3. 3. Remove skillet from heat. Pour seasoned melted butter over the beef mixture. Stir until well coated.
  4. 4. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the beef mixture. Place skillet under broiler for 1-2 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly, or cover with a lid until cheese melts.
  5. 5. Spoon generous portions of the cheeseburger mixture onto a clean work surface or plates, forming them into compact, log-like shapes.
  6. 6. Garnish with fresh parsley or chives before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat gently in a skillet over low heat, or in a preheated oven at 300°F (150°C) for 5-10 minutes.
