Description

Tender chicken breasts in a rich, velvety cream cheese sauce with herbs and garlic. A comforting weeknight dinner ready in 30 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (1.52 lbs)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. 1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. 2. Sear chicken in olive oil over medium-high heat, 5-6 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
  3. 3. Add butter to pan, cook onion for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  4. 4. Add garlic, thyme, and oregano, cook 30 seconds.
  5. 5. Add wine, simmer 2 minutes to reduce.
  6. 6. Add chicken broth, simmer 3-4 minutes.
  7. 7. Reduce heat to low, whisk in cream cheese until smooth.
  8. 8. Stir in Parmesan cheese, season to taste.
  9. 9. Return chicken to pan, simmer 2-3 minutes.
  10. 10. Garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for smoothest sauce. Store leftovers up to 4 days refrigerated.
