Description
Restaurant-quality nachos with seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and fresh toppings. Simple layering technique ensures every chip is loaded with flavor.

- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 large bag tortilla chips (12–14 ounces)
- 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- 1/2 red onion, finely diced
- 1 jalapeño, sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup salsa
- 1 medium avocado, diced
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- 1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2. Cook ground beef in large skillet over medium-high heat for 6-8 minutes until browned.
- 3. Drain excess fat, add taco seasoning and water. Simmer 3-4 minutes until thickened.
- 4. Prepare all fresh toppings while meat cooks.
- 5. Layer half the chips on baking sheet, top with half the beef and half the beans.
- 6. Add half of both cheeses, then remaining chips, beef, beans, and cheeses.
- 7. Bake 8-10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbling.
- 8. Remove from oven, immediately add tomatoes, onion, and jalapeños.
- 9. Top with sour cream, salsa, cilantro, avocado, and green onions.
- 10. Serve immediately while hot.
Notes
Store leftovers in refrigerator up to 2 days. Reheat in 350°F oven for 5-7 minutes. Add fresh toppings after reheating.
