Description
Whip up these delicious Bang Bang Salmon Bites, featuring crispy pan-seared salmon tossed in a creamy, sweet, and spicy sauce. A quick and easy recipe perfect for appetizers or a light meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 pounds skinless salmon fillet, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh chives or green onions (for garnish, optional)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- 1. Pat the salmon cubes thoroughly dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- 2. In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, honey, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth. Adjust seasoning as needed.
- 3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add salmon cubes in a single layer (cook in batches if necessary) and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- 4. Reduce heat to low. Pour about half of the prepared sauce over the salmon and gently toss to coat. Cook for 30-60 seconds, just until sauce is warmed through and clings to the salmon.
- 5. Transfer to a serving dish, drizzle with remaining sauce or serve on the side. Garnish with chives/green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days, preferably with minimal sauce. Gently reheat in a skillet over low heat or in a low oven (300°F/150°C) to preserve texture.
