Description

A comforting and filling casserole that combines ground beef, cheddar cheese, and French fries. Perfect for busy weeknights and effortless reheating.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups frozen French fries
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pickles and ketchup for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the meat is browned; drain any excess fat.
  3. Combine the cooked beef mixture, French fries, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish and spread it evenly.
  5. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve hot, adding pickles and ketchup if desired.

Notes

For extra crispiness, partially bake the fries before mixing them in. Let the casserole rest for 5-10 minutes after baking for easier serving.
