Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the meat is browned; drain any excess fat.
- Combine the cooked beef mixture, French fries, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish and spread it evenly.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot, adding pickles and ketchup if desired.
Notes
For extra crispiness, partially bake the fries before mixing them in. Let the casserole rest for 5-10 minutes after baking for easier serving.
