Description

Crispy air fryer buffalo cauliflower with tangy sauce and tender interior. A healthier alternative to buffalo wings that’s ready in 20 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 1 large head cauliflower (about 2 pounds), cut into 1-inch florets
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened plant milk (or regular milk)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (plus extra for serving)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter or vegan butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • Ranch or blue cheese dressing for serving
  • Celery sticks for serving

Instructions

  1. 1. Cut cauliflower into uniform 1-inch florets. Rinse and pat completely dry with paper towels.
  2. 2. Whisk together flour, plant milk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. 3. Add cauliflower florets to batter and toss until thoroughly coated. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  4. 4. Preheat air fryer to 375°F for 3 minutes. Mix buffalo sauce, melted butter, and honey in a small bowl.
  5. 5. Place battered cauliflower in single layer in air fryer basket. Cook for 12 minutes, shaking basket halfway through.
  6. 6. Remove cauliflower and toss with half the buffalo sauce mixture while hot. Return to air fryer for 3-4 minutes.
  7. 7. Transfer to serving platter and drizzle with remaining buffalo sauce. Serve immediately with dressing and celery.

Notes

Store leftovers in refrigerator up to 3 days. Reheat in air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes to restore crispiness.
