Description

A quick and creamy turkey stroganoff that comes together in one skillet, perfect for a satisfying family dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb turkey breast, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish
  • Egg noodles, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and garlic, sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add turkey and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes.
  4. Stir in mushrooms and cook until tender, 4-5 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Slowly add chicken broth, stirring continuously, and let simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  7. Reduce heat and mix in sour cream until smooth; season with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve over cooked egg noodles and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

Best eaten fresh the same day. If storing, the sauce may thicken, adding a splash of broth for consistency when reheating.
