Ingredients

- 2 lbs Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup sour cream
- 4 tbsp butter
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tsp salt, to taste
- ½ tsp pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Peel and chop the potatoes into even chunks for uniform cooking.
- Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Melt the butter in a separate pan and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add garlic butter to the potatoes, then mash until smooth.
- Incorporate sour cream and milk gradually until desired consistency is reached.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For best results, do not allow garlic to brown when sautéing. Adjust milk to achieve the desired creaminess.
