Ingredients
Scale
- 32 ounces frozen tater tots
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 white onion, diced
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 1 (10-ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup
- 1 (10-ounce) can cream of mushroom or chicken soup
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1 (15.2-ounce) can corn, drained
- 1 (14.5-ounce) can green beans, drained
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef with onion, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Drain any excess grease from the skillet.
- In a large bowl, mix the cooked beef mixture with sour cream, cheddar cheese soup, cream of mushroom or chicken soup, corn, green beans, and 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly in the baking dish.
- Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the mixture.
- Bake for 50 minutes until the tater tots are golden brown and filling is bubbling.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the tater tots and bake for another 5 minutes until melted.
- Let the casserole rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For best results, use frozen tater tots directly from the bag and avoid overcrowding the dish. Resting the casserole before serving helps it set better.
