Description

A hearty and comforting stew made with ground beef, potatoes, and fresh vegetables, perfect for busy families.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1.5 lbs large potatoes, diced
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 12 garlic cloves, minced
  • 6 oz can tomato paste
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef and drain. Set aside to cool slightly before adding to the crockpot.
  2. Chop potatoes, onion, and carrots into uniform sizes for even cooking.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together tomato paste, salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder, and oregano.
  4. Add all ingredients to the crockpot and fill with water or broth. Mix well before covering.
  5. Cook on low for 7 hours.
  6. Serve and enjoy, optionally with fresh bread and shredded cheddar cheese.

Notes

For added flavor, use homemade broth instead of water. Let the stew sit for 10-15 minutes before serving to enhance flavors.
