- 1 pound lean ground beef
- Kosher salt and pepper to taste
- 3 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 6 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, freshly grated
- 2 sheets thawed puff pastry
- 1 large egg plus 1 teaspoon water (for egg wash)
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (for sprinkling)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
- Place each puff pastry sheet on parchment paper on baking sheets.
- Cut both sheets of puff pastry into six squares.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground beef with salt and pepper, cook until browned.
- Stir in ketchup and mustard until combined.
- Turn off heat and sprinkle with cheese, let cool slightly.
- Whisk together all house sauce ingredients until smooth.
- Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of beef mixture into each puff pastry square.
- Drizzle with house sauce and sprinkle with cheese.
- Brush edges with egg wash, fold to seal, and decorate with fork.
- Brush tops with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
