Description

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp red food coloring
  • Powdered sugar for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until fluffy and well combined.
  3. In another bowl, mix the vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla extract, and red food coloring until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  5. Refrigerate the dough for about 30 minutes.
  6. Scoop the dough and roll it into balls, then roll each ball in powdered sugar until fully coated.
  7. Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheet, spaced apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers remain soft.
  9. Allow cooling on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
