Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large croissants, torn into pieces
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., Swiss or cheddar)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • ½ cup cooked turkey breast, diced (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  2. Place the torn croissant pieces evenly in the dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the croissants, pressing down gently.
  5. Sprinkle cheese on top.
  6. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  7. The next morning, preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Remove plastic wrap and bake for 30-35 minutes until set and golden.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use half-and-half instead of milk. Allow to sit for 10 minutes after baking before serving.
