Description

A warm and wholesome breakfast bake packed with oats, apples, and spices, perfect for busy mornings or leisurely weekend brunches.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 ½ cups milk (or almond milk for dairy-free)
  • 1 large apple, diced
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Add the oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt; mix well.
  4. Fold in the diced apples and nuts if you’re using them.
  5. Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow it to cool for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

This dish can be prepped the night before and stored in the fridge. Leftovers can be kept in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
