- 2 large eggs (for custard filling)
- 180 grams (¾ cup) butter (for custard filling)
- Icing sugar or your favorite garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a large bowl, combine 150 grams of flour, 100 ml of water, 100 ml of milk, and 80 grams of melted butter with 4 large eggs. Mix until smooth.
- Add 1 teaspoon of baking powder and ½ teaspoon of salt, stirring until fully incorporated.
- In a saucepan, heat 500 ml of milk with 150 grams of sugar over low heat until sugar dissolves, then mix in 100 grams of flour blended with 2 large eggs to create a smooth custard.
- Pour half of the cake batter into a greased baking pan and bake for 15 minutes.
- Pour the custard filling over the baked base, then top with the remaining cake batter.
- Bake for another 30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool and dust with icing sugar before serving.
Notes
Use room temperature ingredients for a smoother batter. Consider adding vanilla extract or melted chocolate for added flavor.
