Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together yogurt, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Stir in the egg yolks and sugar.
  3. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt, then incorporate into the wet mixture.
  4. Beat the egg whites with cream of tartar until soft peaks form; add sugar to achieve stiff peaks.
  5. Fold the egg whites into the batter gently.

  8. Beat the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
