Description

Delicious homemade churro bites, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, served with Nutella for dipping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • Nutella for dipping
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine water, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil, then simmer. Stir until butter melts completely.
  2. Mix in flour until it forms a ball. Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time until smooth.
  4. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep pan.
  5. Pipe small bites of dough into the hot oil and fry until golden brown (3-4 minutes).
  6. Roll warm churro bites in a sugar and cinnamon mixture.
  7. Serve with Nutella for dipping.

Notes

For extra crispy churros, let the dough rest for about 10 minutes after mixing in the eggs.
