Description

Delicious turnovers filled with seasoned ground beef and melty cheese, perfect for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 2 cans of refrigerated biscuits (8 count)
  • 8 slices of American cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper; drain excess grease.
  3. Flatten the canned biscuits using a rolling pin or your hands.
  4. Place one heaping tablespoon of ground beef in the center of each biscuit.
  5. Fold the cheese slices in half and place them on top of the beef.
  6. Top with another biscuit, sealing the edges with a fork and pricking the tops.
  7. Place the turnovers on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Brush the tops with milk.
  9. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until golden.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven for optimal texture.
