Description
A delightful, safe-to-eat cookie dough that combines soft, buttery goodness with melty chocolate chips.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter (salted or unsalted, softened)
- 2–4 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Microwave the flour in 20-second intervals until it reaches 165℉, about 40 to 60 seconds. Alternatively, bake it on a baking sheet in a preheated 350℉ oven for 3 to 5 minutes. Let the flour cool completely.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar using medium speed until fluffy.
- Add the cooled flour, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the butter mixture. Slowly mix in just enough milk until the dough reaches a thick but scoopable consistency.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Notes
For a richer taste, try using brown butter. Chill chocolate chips before using for a more satisfying bite.
