Description
Delicious and nutritious canned salmon patties that are quick to prepare and perfect for meal planning.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can of salmon, drained
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the drained salmon, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, parsley, egg, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into patties about 2 to 3 inches in diameter.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat—enough to coat the bottom of the pan.
- Fry the patties until golden brown, about 4 to 5 minutes per side.
- Serve hot with a dipping sauce of your choice.
Notes
For best results, chill the mixture for 15 minutes before shaping patties if it feels too wet. You can also experiment with flavors by adding lemon zest or using panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.
