Description

A simple and flavorful crockpot dish with tender chicken thighs and sweet teriyaki sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken thighs in the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the teriyaki sauce, chicken broth, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until chicken is tender.
  5. Shred the chicken with two forks and stir it back into the sauce.
  6. Serve over cooked rice or noodles, garnishing with sliced green onions or sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

For a richer flavor, sear the chicken thighs before placing them in the crockpot. Use a generous amount of sauce to prevent dryness.
