Description
A comforting creamy garlic pasta dish that’s made in just one pot, perfect for busy nights and family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 ounces of short pasta (penne or fusilli)
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil or butter
- 1 cup of whole milk (or a plant-based alternative)
- 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot or skillet, heat the olive oil or butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the pasta and enough water (or broth) to cover it. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer.
- Cook until the pasta is al dente and most of the liquid is absorbed, about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in the milk and Parmesan cheese until creamy. Adjust consistency with more milk if needed.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For added depth, try toasting the garlic before adding the pasta. Garnish with fresh herbs for extra flavor.
