Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1/2 cup whole milk

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For the streusel topping:
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  4. Gradually combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, mixing gently to avoid overmixing.
  5. In a small bowl, prepare the streusel topping by whisking together the flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon, then cutting in the cold butter until the mixture is crumbly.
  6. Fill the muffin tins with batter, then sprinkle the streusel topping generously over each muffin.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool for 5 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
