Description

A comforting cheesy sausage casserole packed with flavor and protein, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sausage (spicy or mild)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk (whole or low-fat)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup diced hash browns (frozen or freshly shredded)
  • ½ cup chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly, about 5-7 minutes; drain excess fat.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
  3. Stir in the cooked sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, and diced hash browns until combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is set and golden; a toothpick should come out clean.
  6. Let it cool slightly before garnishing with chopped green onions. Serve warm.
