Description

Delicious cheeseburger flavors wrapped in crispy egg rolls, perfect for snacking or entertaining.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 medium yellow onion, finely minced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced pickles
  • 1314 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 egg white, whisked
  • Vegetable oil for cooking
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat a medium cast iron pan or non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add one tablespoon of oil and the minced onion. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
  2. Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Season with salt and pepper, cover, and cook until the meat starts to brown.
  3. Stir in garlic, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Drain off excess grease and transfer the beef to a large mixing bowl.
  4. Add cheese and stir until melted and evenly incorporated. Stir in the pickles.
  5. In a deep skillet, heat olive oil to about 350 degrees.
  6. Spread about 2 tablespoons of cheeseburger filling in a line on an egg roll, fold the bottom corner over the filling, tuck under, and fold side corners toward the center. Seal with egg white.
  7. Roll up the egg roll gently and fry in batches until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side.
  8. Serve with Thousand Island dressing, and enjoy.

Notes

For best results, do not overcrowd the pan when frying to keep the rolls crispy.
