A comforting one-pan meal featuring tender cabbage and flavorful ground beef, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients

- ½ cup coconut aminos
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 head of cabbage, thinly sliced (about 8 cups)
- ½ cup shredded carrot
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Green onion slices, for garnish
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- Stir together all the sauce ingredients (coconut aminos, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes) and set aside.
- Heat avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chopped onion and cook, stirring until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the grated ginger and minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes, breaking it up with a wooden spoon.
- Stir in the sliced cabbage, shredded carrots, and the prepared sauce. Cook until the cabbage is wilted, about 5 minutes.
- Taste and add salt and/or pepper as needed. Serve warm, sprinkled with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for about a month. Reheat on the stove with a splash of water.
