- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 cup grated or finely chopped apples
- Optional: maple syrup for serving
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter until frothy.
- Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, being careful not to overmix.
- Gently fold in the grated apples.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it.
- Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook until golden brown.
- Serve warm with a drizzle of maple syrup or a dusting of powdered sugar.
Notes
Store leftover pancakes in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
