Description
A creamy, chocolaty delight that transforms simple ingredients into a comforting bowl of goodness, perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/4 cup cacao powder or unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3–5 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups Almond Breeze Almondmilk Original Unsweetened (or light coconut milk for creamier texture)
- 1/2 cup chia seeds
Instructions
- In a small mixing bowl, sift the cacao powder to reduce clumps. Add maple syrup, ground cinnamon, sea salt, and vanilla extract, and whisk until blended.
- Slowly pour in a splash of almond milk, gradually whisking in the remaining almond milk until smooth.
- Fold in the chia seeds, cover with plastic wrap or a lid, and refrigerate overnight or at least for 3-5 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Scoop into bowls and serve chilled, optionally topped with fresh fruit or nuts.
Notes
For a creamier texture, use coconut milk instead of almond milk. Adjust sweetness to taste and add a dash of espresso powder for enhanced chocolate flavor.
