Description

A delightful oven-baked salmon dish that’s buttery, garlic-tinged, and perfect for cozy evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (2-pound) whole salmon fillet (skin-on preferred)
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter (or olive oil)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • Ground black pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with a large piece of foil to create a ‘boat’ for the salmon.
  2. Place the salmon fillet skin side down with the pink side facing up.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and minced garlic. Spread half over the salmon.
  4. In a separate bowl, blend the brown sugar, Italian seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle this mix over the salmon.
  5. Drizzle the remaining garlic butter on top.
  6. Bake for 15 to 22 minutes, basting halfway through.
  7. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

A sprinkle of lemon juice enhances the flavor. For crispy skin, broil for the last 2 minutes.
