Description
A delightful oven-baked salmon dish that’s buttery, garlic-tinged, and perfect for cozy evenings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (2-pound) whole salmon fillet (skin-on preferred)
- 3 tablespoons melted butter (or olive oil)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon ground paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- Ground black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with a large piece of foil to create a ‘boat’ for the salmon.
- Place the salmon fillet skin side down with the pink side facing up.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and minced garlic. Spread half over the salmon.
- In a separate bowl, blend the brown sugar, Italian seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle this mix over the salmon.
- Drizzle the remaining garlic butter on top.
- Bake for 15 to 22 minutes, basting halfway through.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
A sprinkle of lemon juice enhances the flavor. For crispy skin, broil for the last 2 minutes.
