Description

A simple yet elegant baked salmon dish, featuring lemon and fresh herbs, packed with flavor and nutrition.


Ingredients

  • 1 large lemon, zested and juiced
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh herbs (parsley, dill, or a combination)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 4 six-ounce salmon fillets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Grate the zest of half the lemon into a bowl and juice it.
  4. Cut the remaining lemon into wedges and set aside.
  5. Mix the chopped herbs and minced garlic with the lemon mixture.
  6. Pat the salmon fillets dry and place them on the baking sheet, skin side down.
  7. Brush the fillets with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  8. Spoon the lemon mixture over the salmon.
  9. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily.
  10. Serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

For easier cleanup, you can use aluminum foil instead of parchment paper. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
